It's all about the details

February 10, 2018

I have lots of incredible couples, but sometimes, a couple really stands out. I always joke with my couples that once they get engaged, they will see me more than any of their other vendors. Mandy and Dusty were absolutely incredible. I could not have asked for a more amazing couple to end my 2017 wedding season. They had awesome communication, they treated me like a part of their family and they added lots of little touches that really made them stand out.

One of the many things I loved is that they asked when their ceremony and reception times should be so that they could get awesome sunset pictures...(if you haven't noticed, sunsets are kind of my thing...). They also allowed a couple of hours between their ceremony and reception so that they could focus on getting amazing couple pictures that they will cherish forever, without being rushed. As you look through some of my favorite pictures from their wedding, take special notice of how many pieces of artwork they will get to choose from to hang on their walls...from one of the best days of their lives.

After the sun set, it was time to head to the reception. When I walked into the reception, I knew I was in for a special treat. The intricate details Mandy and Dusty put into each table was absolutely perfect! I also loved all of the hand-made items. her table decor, the wall decorations and who can forget the gorgeous bouquets? I have to talk up the bouquets for a minute because the roses I instantly fell in love with. I found out that Something Blue, from Hays, KS, made the intricate roses. https://www.facebook.com/SomethingBlueForBrides/

They also had a pie bar instead of doing the traditional cakes and/or cupcakes. There were so many amazing pies. I can honestly say I have never seen such a long line for someone waiting to indulge in wedding dessert. Major kudos on thinking outside of the box and making your own memories and traditions!

I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite pictures to show you, but here are just a few. I will let Mandy and Dusty share more of their favorites from their day because I could have filled pages and pages with their pictures. Thanks Mandy and Dusty for ending my 2017 wedding season with such an incredible day! Congratulations you two!
