It was a drizzly January day in Valley Falls, KS. when I arrived at the newly remodeled (and oh so gorgeous!) Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Kelsey was busy getting ready and I anxiously took her details to go grab a few (dozen) pictures of her dress, jewelry, boots, her boot charms , pearl bracelets, etc. I think I could have captured images of her details all day with the endless possibilities the church and her details had to offer. I loved that Kelsey wanted to do a first look with her parents and bridesmaids. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. As you scroll through just a few of my favorite images, take note of their fun wedding party, their gorgeous attention to detail in every aspect of their wedding and the love that can be felt in every picture.
Their entire wedding was emotionally charged. It says so much about Kelsey and Bryce when every guest had happy tears in their eyes as she walked down the aisle with her dad and he gave her away with a heartfelt hug to Bryce....and when you arrive to the reception to find every table is filled (literally) with people there to share their special day. Even though this couple is young, they have learned that kindness will get them far in life and everywhere they turn, they have friends and family to help them on their journey.
One exciting twist to the night was the cake cutting. Their poor maid of honor and best man were in for a major surprise. I can honestly say it was the first time I have had a couple share their cake with their best friends, but it was a blast to watch. Cake was literally flying!
As the night drew to a close, I asked Kelsey and Bryce if they would come out to the gazebo at Heritage Hall in Topeka, KS for a picture I have been wanting to get during my wedding career. They graciously came out and after they saw their picture, they went in and invited several others to come out and get pictures also (no pressure!) I love how they turned out.
Even though it was a drizzly January wedding, it couldn't have been more perfect. They say rain brings good luck on your wedding day and I truly believe these two have all the luck in the world. As a photographer, I love it when my clients make pictures a priority and get unique pictures from their special day that they will treasure forever....while still having time to enjoy their guests and day. As your wedding photographer, I take the extra time to make a timeline with you so that your day isn't rushed and you will have hundreds of images to remember your day. How will you remember your special day?
